What is a Volunteer Support Coach?
Catholic Strengths and Engagement Community Volunteer Support Coaches are members of Catholic Strengths and Engagement Community from a wide range experiences with dioceses and parishes (Urban, Suburban and Rural). Additionally, each has extensive knowledge of the Gallup StrengthsFinders Assessment and supporting resources. They serve in pastoral, staff and lay roles in one or more parishes and have in-depth experience with successful Strengths based ministries. Each has worked in a variety of fields – Religious education, higher education, personal coaching, professional development, non-profit consulting and organizational development.

Leisa Anslinger
Areas of Expertise: Diocesan leadership; Parishioner Engagement through Strengths Development
Leisa’s areas of expertise include experience as a diocesan staff person and consultant to dioceses in building engagement and/or incorporating strengths development in stewardship, leadership, and evangelization initiatives. Leisa co-authored a workbook series with Stephanie Moore (available at csec.info) to equip parish and diocesan leaders in the beginning stages of engagement and strengths ministry. Leisa is available as a volunteer support coach for diocesan or parish leaders who wish to explore the benefits of and initial steps toward building engagement through strengths development.
Bruce Bauman
Bruce Bauman has worked in parish ministry for 28 years in a variety of roles. His expertise with Gallup StrengthsFinder has been in assisting Strengths could assist in the ministry and mission of the Church. He has also done trainings for parish staffs, Diocesan staffs and the local Seminary.

Martha Buelt
Area of Expertise: Strengths Education through a Faith Lens
Martha’s area of expertise includes strengths education. She teaches faith-based leaders to understand and use the CliftonStrengths Philosophy and its building blocks in their faith contexts. Martha instructs leaders by using curriculum she has written, including the Talents in Chistian Discipleship Learning Modules, and Gallup CliftonStrengths resources.

Jan Hann
Areas of Expertise: Parish Leadership, Instructional Designer, Strategic Planning, Facilitation of Strengths Program in parishes of varying size and locations and in secular settings, consultation to parishes initiating Strengths program.
Jan’s experience includes development and revitalization of Strengths Ministry in her home parish The program has been active since 2012 with over 800 parishioners completing the program. The program has been adapted over the years to meet the needs of parishioners and the environment –Zoom during Covid, varying time frames and instructional formats. Jan believes that Strengths can with intentional attention can change the culture of a team; indeed, of the parish building an Engaged Parish. Jan has provided support to parishes in the Chicagoland area interested in initiating a Strengths Ministry working with Pastors, Staff teams and volunteer facilitators.
Anne Murray
Areas of Expertise:
Anne is a Certified Gallup Strengths Coach and has over 15 years’ experience in Strengths based development. Her strengths journey began in parish ministry, expanded to corporate environments, and currently serving several non-profit clients. She can provide resources and advice on facilitating Strengths workshops and individual coaching expertise.
